With an adapter function, the user can easily use the unit with external transducers or measurement devices. This adapter function makes it possible to connect any adapter or sensor that converts a measured electrical or physical quantity into a voltage of either DC or AC.
The meter is equipped with True InRush technology which allows for the user to measure inrush current and overcurrent with utmost precision. This technology offers the unique ability to measure power-up events from devices on networks that are already energized. The user can measure all types of inrush, even those due to load increases on installation already up and running.
The AEMC 404 (2139.22) True-RMS AC/DC Clamp-On Meter replaces the AEMC 401 (2139.20) and AEMC 403 (2139.21).
