The AEMC SL261 (1201.51) AC/DC Current Probe is a portable 100 amp peak current probe with insulated BNC output cabling that can accurately measure AC or DC current waveforms. This probe expands oscilloscope applications in industrial, automotive, or power environments, and is ideal for analysis and measurement of distorted current waveforms and harmonics.
The SL261 (1201.51) is compatible with any analog or digital oscilloscope or other voltage-measuring instrument (not included) that features a BNC input connector, range capable of displaying 0.2 to 0.5 volts per division, and minimum input impedance of one megohm.
The probe permits accurate display and measurement of currents from 100 milliamps to 100 amps RMS and DC to 100 kilohertz without breaking into the circuit. The unit has proportional millivolt output for direct readings on oscilloscopes in which the probe connects directly to an oscilloscope through the two meter coaxial cable with an insulated BNC. Hall effect technology is utilized to measure AC and DC signals.
The three position slide switch on the handle allows the user to select the range and turn the unit ON or OFF.
