The BK Precision 1826B Portable Universal Frequency Counter is a compact instrument designed for versatile frequency measurements. Featuring a clear 0.5 inch LCD, this counter measures a wide frequency range from 0.001 Hz to 6 GHz and supports frequency, period, ratio, pulse width, and event counting measurements.

Equipped with a high-quality temperature-compensated internal frequency reference, this counter provides exceptional stability and accuracy. A low aging rate of ±1 ppm is applied across the entire temperature range.

Multiple input channels allow for precise measurements across a broad spectrum of frequencies. Input A offers flexible signal conditioning with configurable coupling (AC or DC), input impedance (1 MΩ or 50Ω), attenuation (1:1 or 5:1), threshold (fully variable), and active edge. An additional input C on the 1826B offers an N-type connector with 50Ω input impedance and frequency range of 2 GHz to 6 GHz.

For frequency, period, and ratio functions, the instrument uses a reciprocal counting technique to provide high resolution at all frequencies. 8 significant digits are produced in a measurement time of 1 second, 9 digits are produced in 10 seconds, and 10 digits are produced in 100 seconds.

The 1826B also includes a USB interface that enables remote control and device power via the user's PC. Additional powering options include continuous AC operation with the supplied AC charger or for up to 24 hours of operation while connected to battery power.
