The CCS Products RWNB-3D-240-P WattNode Pulse Meter, Delta, 208-240 VAC Line to Line, Revenue Model is a true RMS AC watt-hour transducer with pulse output (solid state relay closure) proportional to kWh consumed or produced. The WattNode Pulse meter provides 0.5% accurate kWh measurements at low cost to meet needs for sub-metering, net-metering, energy management, and performance contracting applications. Diagnostic LEDs provide a per-phase indication of line voltage, positive energy (green flashing) and negative energy (red flashing) to help troubleshoot connection problems, like swapped CTs, or excessive line voltage.

The output pulses from the WattNode meter can also be recorded using a data logger or other data acquisition device such as a building automation system. These systems can calculate the average kW demand during a sample interval and can also provide TOU (time of use) data. The pulse outputs of WattNode meters are optically isolated to provide 5000 volts protection from the AC power lines. An optocoupler functions like mechanical on/off switch. The pulse recording device connected to the meter applies a small DC voltage to the optocoupler switch to determine if it is open or closed. Each opening and closing of the switch represents one pulse.
