Details

The Fluke Networks FMC-1G LinkIQ Fiber Media Converter Kit understands and debugs the fiber port connections by determining application, switch name, port name and VLAN and verifying connectivity using IP ping. The Fiber Media Converter (FMC) Kit includes the Media Converters, SFPs, fiber optic cords and RJ45 cable to connect with any LinkIQ tester to troubleshoot network connectivity. When testing a connection through the FMC, the “Network” test provides results that can tell users if they have an Ethernet connection to the device at the far end (typically a switch) and if users can send IP traffic to targets at the far end.

The FMC connects to 1 Gb/s (1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX) fiber Ethernet ports through a media converter and SFP using single-mode or multimode optic fiber cables. The FMC tests and troubleshoots EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT cabling with M12X, M12D, and M8D adapters (IE versions).
