The Fluke T51KPRV240 Voltage, Continuity and Current Tester with Compact Portable Safety Proving Unit Combo Kit includes T5-1000, which lets you check voltage, continuity and current with one compact tool. With the T5-1000, all you have to do is select volts, ohms, or current and the tester does the rest. OpenJaw current lets you check current up to 100A, without breaking the circuit. Tough test leads stow neatly in the back of the tester, making it easy to tote the T5-1000 in your tool pouch. Detachable SlimReach test probes are customized for national electrical standards. The test leads accept optional accessories such as clips and specialty probes. The optional H5 holster lets you clip the T5-1000 onto your belt.

The Fluke T5-1K/PRV240 also includes PRV240 Compact Portable Safety Proving Unit, a pocket-sized, battery-powered voltage source. It is unique in that it sources stable AC and DC voltages for both LoZ and HiZ instruments.

The concept of "Test Before Touch" (TBT) involves testing your meter against a known live source before and after the actual measurement. This sequence verifies that your test tool is operating properly during the actual measurement.

Verify your test tool without unnecessary exposure to shock and arc flash. The PRV240 reduces the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) when a known voltage source is not available for tester or multimeter verification, before TBT are performed. Note: PPE is still needed for absence of voltage testing, whenever it is appropriate.
