To minimize solder spatter, specifically when soldering with lead-free solders, the Hakko 375-02 cuts a "slit" in the solder to allow the gases to escape.

When solder is cut with a V-groove it enables the release of gas pressure generated by the flux, thereby suppressing splash. However, because the V-groove exposes the flux to outside air, the solder cannot be stored for a long period of time. When using solder with the Hakko 375, you can groove the solder that you require.

The 375 solder feeder can be used with conventional solder reel stands (models 611-1 and 611-2, sold separately.)

Use an optiononal switch to increase efficiency: Control the amount of solder that is fed using the ON/OFF switch. Use an optional switch or hand switch (sold separately) to increase functionality even more.
