The Hakko FM2031-01 Heavy-Duty Nitrogen Soldering Iron Handpiece for FM-203 & FM-206 Stations, 140W, 24V, is a soldering iron handpiece that can be used with the FM-203 Soldering Station and FM-206 High Performance 3-port Rework System.

The FM-2031 provides a higher mass tip with double the power of conventional T17 tips. This iron is ideal for soldering difficult-to-solder heavy ground planes or high heat sink applications.

The FM-2031 uses T22 Series Tips (not included). Nozzle assemblies for nitrogen gas are used to envelop the tip and solder joint in an inert atmosphere to reduce oxidation, improve wetting, and allow for lower soldering temperatures.

The FM-2031 can only be attached to the Hakko FM-203 "D" port, and the Hakko FM-206 CH2 or CH3 ports. If you attach the iron to any other port, a grip error or connector error (C-E) will occur.
