The Hakko T32-BCF4 Bevel Soldering Tip is an accessory for use with the FX-8806 Soldering Iron. The Shape BCF tip features a conical/cylindrical shaft with a diagonal cut and is tinned on the cut surface only. Its thickness allows great thermal mass and the cut surface is ideal for soldering. Since the solder does not come up to the tip side, it is useful when soldering with adjacent components. The top of the soldering tip is tinned, or plated with solder, to allow for soldering, while the other areas are plated with chrome in order to prevent them from being wet with solder. For BCF soldering tips, the solder does not melt when it touches the sides of the tip, only when it touches the tinned cut surface. This allows for more accuracy where components are packed tightly on a workpiece, preventing molten solder from touching other components.
