The Hioki LR8450 KIT Multi-Channel Data Logger Kit includes the LR8450 Memory HiLogger, which is a high-speed data logger for recording multiple channels of voltage, temperature, resistance or humidity signals, with some module models (sold separately) providing complete isolation between channels and strong noise resistance. The LR8450 offers 1 ms sampling across up to 120 channels, and can be paired with 5 different types of plug-in input units (sold separately). Special input modules measure strain and distortion, making the logger also ideal for automotive applications involving the evaluation of vehicle components as well as robotic equipment.

Stable logging - even at high voltages and frequencies

The LR8450 reduces the effects of noise to deliver stable logging, even at high voltages and frequencies. Legacy data loggers could not log temperature accurately in noisy environments due to the effects of high frequencies, which caused values to shift or fluctuate significantly. The LR8450 uses a revamped design to dramatically reduce the effects of high-frequency noise, and is ideal for temperature logging of inverters and batteries.

Supports up to 120 channels

The LR8450 data logger can gain up to 120 channels of input simply by adding a total of four plug-in units (sold separately). For example, users can add four model U8552 units to the data logger. Each U8552 units accepts 30 channels of input; add four units for 120 channels of measurement.

Connect strain gages directly and make measurements in as little as 1 ms

The Memory HiLogger LR8450 is a data logger that can measure stress via directly connected strain gages. Capable of recording at frequencies on the order of dozens of hertz (thanks to sampling at up to 1 ms), the LR8450 is ideal for measuring stress and load on moving parts and strain on components such as brakes and pipes. And because it can accommodate a mix of various measurement units, the LR8450 can simultaneously measure strain, temperature, and voltage as necessary.

Sample output from a variety of sensors

Use the model U8553 High Speed Voltage Unit (sold separately) at a sampling rate of up to 1 ms. The 1 ms sampling rate is the best match to measure sensor outputs with a frequency response of under 100 Hz, for example pressure and vibration sensors.

Measure strain with a 1 ms sampling rate

Use the model U8554 Strain Unit (sold separately): connect strain gauges directly and measure at a sampling rate of up to 1 ms.

Measure temperature near an inverter or battery

Use the U8550 Voltage/Temperature Unit or U8551 Universal Unit (both sold separately) for making measurements at a sampling rate of up to 10 ms.
