The Klein Tools VDV500-163 Digital Tone Generator is designed for wire identification, wire tracing and wire pair identification. Users are provided with a RJ45 port to easily test RJ45, RJ11, and RJ12 data cables. This unit tests for continuity and polarity with response displayed on clearly labelled, easy-to-read LED's. When used with the VDV500-223 Digital Tracing Probe (Sold Separately), users can trace and locate cables on an active network and wire map to check Pin-to-Pin connections with shield detection and features angled bed-of-nails (ABN) clips to securely attach to wires.
