The Leader LT4670-SER03 Grand Master/Leader/Follower PTP Support Hardware Option is a factory-installed option for the LT4670 Sync Generators. This option enables the PTP reader and PTP follower functions on the instrument. Operating with a grand master, the PTP reader (master) function allows for selection of reference from PTP, GNSS, VITC, LTC, analog BB, or internal time. This option supports PTP follower (slave) function, acting as a PTP follower (slave) to the upper PTP grand master and as a PTP reader (master) to the lower device. Two PTP engines are provided in which each of them can be used to build PTP systems in independent networks. Up to two RJ-45 SFP modules or two 10GbE SFP+ modules (sold separately) can be used. PTP time can be redistributed from an analog synchronous signal and an external time source such as GNSS or NTP server.
