The LX Microscopes by UNITRON 23788-ESD ESD-Safe Stereo-Zoom Trinocular Microscope with 10x Eyepieces features an ESD-safe cast alloy aluminum binocular body with all-metal gears and 45 degree inclined eyetubes. The main body can be rotated 360 degrees within the focus mount and features a baked-on powder coat with a metal-laced paint that measures 10^5 ohms per square (static dissipative). The click-stops on the zoom knobs ensure that magnification changes can be easily repeated. The trinocular body of this System 373 Microscope allows for the user to simultaneously view the current sample on a monitor and through the eyepieces. The 23788-ESD includes only the body in which stands are sold separately.

The achromatic lenses feature anti-reflective coatings for a more focused view of specimens. The standard zoom objective magnification range is 1.0X to 6.5X and increases to 10X to 65X when used with the included 10X eyepieces. The working distance of this microscope is 110 millimeters, and when used with 0.5X reducing lenses (not included), the working distance becomes 195 millimeters. Furthermore, the field-of-view for this microscope is 23 millimeters and the interpupillary adjustment ranges from 52 millimeters to 76 millimeters.
