The Optical Wavelength Labs LO2-13SC Laser OWL 1310nm Singlemode Optical Laser Source (SC Connector) is a compact, handheld laser light source. The laser diode uses a temperature-compensated output that is calibrated to couple -10dBm of optical power into singlemode fiber. The light source comes with a 1310nm laser source installed, and can be easily upgraded to include a 1550nm source.

The Laser OWL is a laser-based light source designed to test singlemode fiber optic links. Its 1310nm light source provides stabilized testing that conforms to international testing standards.

The source is simple to operate with an intuitive two-button interface for controlling power and port selection. LED indicators highlight the selected source port and verify that battery power is sufficient to maintain the calibrated output power. Wavelength is indicated by a 7-segment LED display.

The LO2-13SC Laser Source comes configured with an SC connector port, as well as a protective rubber boot, re-chargeable Lithium Polymer battery and charger, NIST-traceable certificate of calibration, and CD-ROM with operations manual.
