The Optical Wavelength Labs ZOOM 2 (ZO-2) is a highly accurate hand-held optical power meter, capable of measuring optical power and optical loss in a wide range of test environments, including LAN, MAN, WAN, Telco, CATV, Manufacturing, and Laboratory. A 2.5mm universal and 1.25mm universal connector port are included to connect to a wide variety of popular fiber optic connectors, including SC, ST, FC, LC, MU, and other SFF.
The ZOOM 2 is enclosed in high-impact plastic, and a protective rubber boot provides additional shock protection. Its easy-to-read 4-digit LCD display shows optical power in dBm and dB, selected wavelength, and battery power. The Zoom 2 has an intuitive 2-button interface for controlling power ON/OFF and wavelength selection.
The ZOOM 2 is N.I.S.T. Traceable and is calibrated at four commonly used industry standard wavelengths (850, 1300, 1310, and 1550), which makes it an ideal choice for both multimode and singlemode testing. Additionally, the ZOOM 2 is calibrated at 1490nm, making it an excellent option for measurement of FTTx PON networks.
The ZOOM 2 can store reference values for all of its calibrated wavelengths, and displays optical power as an absolute value in dBm or relative to a user set "zero" reference in dB. It has an intuitive two-button interface, with one button controlling power and wavelength selection, while the other is used to toggle between dBm, dB, and uW, as well as setting the optical reference, or "zero".
