The RIDGID 456-J Precision Non-Ratcheting Flare Tool forms 45° R410A flares. The hardened steel flaring cone is eccentrically mounted in needle bearings. It creates uniform flare walls without galling. A clutch automatically releases to iron the flare. Recommended for soft materials such as aluminum and soft copper, it also flares steel, stainless steel, hard copper and brass through a wall thickness of 0.035".
