The Teledyne LeCroy T3AWG3252 High Definition Arbitrary Waveform Generator combines many functions into one instrument, including Function Generator, Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Digital Pattern Generator. These three different functionalities leverage HW flexibility by adopting two different technologies. An improved Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) based technology is adopted when using the Function Generator (AFG), allowing the user to change all of the parameters - glitch free on-the-fly - therefore preserving the waveform shape.
All controls and settings are one touch away - users can swipe to change the channel, the carrier selection and have access to the modulation parameters; and swipe into the waveform gallery to import a signal at a glance, using the touch-friendly virtual numeric keyboard to change parameters values.
The variable clock, true-arbitrary technology adopted when using the Arbitrary Waveform (AWG)/Digital Pattern Generator lets the user create complex wave forms of analog and digital patterns, insert them in a sequence, apply loops, jumps, and conditional branches. Digital output combined and synchronized with analog output signals represents the ideal tool to troubleshoot and validate digital designs.
The waveform memory length of 128 Mpoints on each channel, combined with number of waveforms entries and the waveform repeat count - higher than 4 x 109 or infinite - make the T3AWG3252 a great waveform generator, even for the most demanding technical applications.
This disruptive and innovative hardware architecture provides the possibility to generate unmatched performances, versatile functionality, and outstanding usability - making the T3AWG3252 the ideal generator for both today's and tomorrow's testing challenges.
Exceptional Signal Fidelity with 16-bit Vertical Resolution
Highest signal accuracy and precise waveform detail generation are key contributors for developing quality products with a reduced design time. Indeed, the pressure is to get products to market faster without sacrificing quality. The exceptional Signal Fidelity of the T3AWG3252 - with its 16-bit Vertical Resolution - means it can emulate the thinnest details of user waveforms, making testing highly efficient and increasing user confidence in their results.
Accurately Emulate the Thinnest Waveform Details at the Largest Output Voltage Swings
The High Definition T3AWG3252 generator is a powerful and ideal tool for all High Definition stimulus-response testing scenarios. There are situations when the user will want to generate an "ideal signal" to test their device, when uncontrolled or unknown distortions are not influencing the behavior of their device.
Alternatively, the user may want to test their device with a previously acquired "real-world signal", imported into the HD arbitrary waveform generator, and then played back for all of the time needed to comfortably test the device in the lab. Often, real-world signals can be acquired with an HD oscilloscope only for a very short period of time, or in difficult environmental situations (like high energy physics or aero-space applications). The HD arbitrary waveform generator provides an essential indispensable solution to this problem.
The High Definition T3AWG3252 generator is ideal for precisely generating degraded or stressed signals, thanks to its ability to emulate accurately any waveform details. This is due to its 16-bit vertical resolution and. It can also emulate large voltage swings because of the 12 Vpp, combined with the ± 6 V HW Voltage baseline.
The High Definition T3AWG3252 generator also has an unmatched output voltage window ±24 V, 48 V in case of 50 Ω into High Impedance or ±12 V, 24 V in case of 50 Ω into 50 Ω. Users definitively want their device properly working when in the presence of signals or noise interfering.
Today's technology density, the co-existing of many communications systems, and the highest standards in product reliability make the T3AWG3252 a must to go for "noise and interference immunity" testing.
