The Testo 883-1 (0560 8830) Thermal Imager has been developed for maintenance staff, facility managers, and energy consultants who need to rely on high thermal image quality and enhanced features for thermal imaging operations. The robust instrument allows users to undertake the non-contact measurement and display of surface temperature distribution. With the 883-1, users can easily find root cause issues and gain more confidence in thermal imaging programs.

With the 883-1, users can perform electrical and mechanical inspections on systems and machines. For building inspections, users can analyze the energy efficiency of said building through heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Additionally, production processes can be monitored for quality assurance.

Benefit from Outstanding Image Quality

The 883-1 features an infrared resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, which is further expandable to 640 x 480 pixels with the built-in Testo SuperResolution technology. The thermal sensitivity of less than 40 mK makes even the smallest temperature differences visible.

High Lens Flexibility

The standard lens allow for a typical field of view within confined spaces. Users can switch over to the telephoto lens (not included) for high-precision thermography of distant objects and outdoor recording. In addition, users always have full control over the thermal image due to the manual focus.

Get a Clear View Straight Away with the ScaleAssist Feature

The Testo ScaleAssist automatic contrast adjustment prevents any misinterpretation of thermal images. A typical challenge found in building thermography is that thermal images of the same object can look different depending on the indoor and outdoor temperatures. The ScaleAssist technology solves this problem by automatically adjusting the scale of the thermal imager to the optimal setting after entering the indoor and outdoor temperatures. This automatic adjustment is advantageous for objectively comparable thermal images and optimal contrast. Any elements that are in the way or unimportant are automatically faded out. Misinterpretations can be prevented and constructional defects are only displayed if they really exist.

Packed with Features to Win Over Customers

With humidity mode, the risk of mold is visualized by the thermal image in means of traffic light colors. Users can transfer the required indoor air temperature and indoor air humidity readings wirelessly from the Testo 605i Thermohygrometer (sold separately) to the 883-1. This enables users to offer their customers competent, high-precision detection of the risk of mold in order to prevent expensive damage to the building fabric and to protect the health of the inhabitants.

With the Testo Thermography app, users can stream the measurement live to the customer's smartphone or tablet for the customer to follow along. Customers can relax in comfort as they are able to see what the operator sees themselves.

Create Impressive Reports with the IRSoft Software

Available as a free download, the IRSoft professional thermography software allows users to comprehensively analyze and summarize results with impressive-looking reports that reduces the time needed to provide professional grade results. Users can compile professional reports quickly and easily with the Testo IRSoft report wizard. Step-by-step guidance allows for clearly structured reports and the wide variety of templates to choose from offers users all the relevant information needed for reports. If none of the templates work for the report at hand, users can create customized templates by using the report designer. The wide selection of formats to choose from, PDF, RTF, or Testo's own TIR format, all are available for the report style needed. The TIR format makes it easy to edit saved reports at a later stage.

Users can place an unlimited number of measuring points, determine cold or hot spots, and even leave comments for customized thermography analysis. Different materials can have their emissivity changed ranging from freely-definable image areas down to the individual pixels for high-precision thermograms. For easy analysis of temperature curves and distributions, profile lines and histograms can be displayed. For visualizing critical temperatures, the overshooting or undershooting of limit values can be highlighted.
