The Elektro-Automatik PS 3080-10 C Single Output Programmable DC Power Supply, 80V/10A, 320W offers users a compact desktop power supply for a manifold of applications that require small voltages, currents and powers. The small enclosure, the intuitive control panel with the color display, and the frontally accessible DC output facilitates setup, connection and handling in one place. Apart from set value adjustment with knobs, the user can also quickly configure several protection thresholds and call up user profiles.

The EA-PS 3080-10 C uses active Power Factor Correction (PFC), to enable worldwide use on a mains inputs from 90 VAC up to 264 VAC.

The user can continuously adjust current, voltage and power between 0% and 100%, either manually or remotely (analog or digital). The output terminals are located on the front side of the PS 3080-10 C unit.

The PS 3080-10 C covers a wide range of applications and uses. It is equipped with a flexible auto-ranging output stage - which provides higher output voltages at lower output currents, or higher output currents at lower output voltages - and is always limited to the adjustable power set value, or the rated power.

The standard sensing input can be connected directly to the load in order to compensate voltage drops along the cables. If the sensing input is connected to the load, the power supply will detect this and adjust the output voltage automatically to ensure the accurate, required voltage is available at the load.

To protect connected equipment, the user can set an overvoltage protection threshold (OVP), as well as one for overcurrent (OCP) and overpower (OPP). As soon as one of these thresholds is reached, the unit's DC output will immediately be shut off and a status signal will be generated on the display. The PS 3080-10 C also features overtemperature protection (OTP), which will shut off the DC output if the device overheats.

Manual operation is done with a color display, two rotary knobs and six push-buttons. The large display shows all relevant set values and actual values at a glance. The whole setup is also done with the human-machine interface, and the display is multilingual (German, English, Russian, Chinese).

Remote control of a device can be done either by the included EA Power Control software, or by a custom application - which is supported by programming documentation, as well as LabView Virtual Instruments (VIs). The software can also record data and control the units via semi-automatic table processing. The PS 3080-10 C also supports the common command language SCPI and the ModBus RTU protocol via Ethernet and USB.
