The Fluke ii500 Industrial Acoustic Imager is an all-in-one tool ideal for visualizing leaks. With the ii500, users are given the tools to improve the bottom line through easy and fast inspections that boost efficiency, maximize uptime, reduce costs, and improve safety. Not only does the ii500 detect and pinpoint the location of potential issues, but it also offers further analysis and assessment through the advanced LeakQ mode.

Leaks: Hidden Costs Due to Leaks in Compressed Air, Gas, Steam, and Vacuum Systems

While most manufacturers know that leaks exist, addressing them has been time-consuming and tedious. With the ii500 and the minimal amount of training required to operate it, maintenance technicians can begin checking for leaks during their typical maintenance routine and even during peak operation hours. The ii500 lets technicians see sound as they scan hoses, fittings, and connections for leaks. The built-in acoustic array of tiny sensitive microphones generates a spectrum of decibel levels per frequency. Based on this output, an algorithm calculates a sound image, known as SoundMap, that is superimposed on a visual image. The SoundMap is automatically adapted depending on the frequency level selected so that background noise is filtered out. With the high level of background noise filtering, detecting compressed gas leaks is incredibly simple with the ii500.

Reduce the Frustration of Unplanned Downtime in Four Easy Steps

Locate - Quickly and easily scan areas and pinpoint where unusual sounds are coming from, even those sounds out of range for human hearing.

Document - Take a screenshot of the point of interest. Then, annotate and tag the photo to define follow-up actions and level of urgency for the team to be aware of.

Share - Share the annotated screenshots with the team so that they can respond and schedule maintenance.

Repair - Investigate the pinpointed areas further during planned downtime to determine what the problem is and proactively fix it.

The ii500 includes a handful of features to make the user experience more friendly and intuitive. The large, high resolution capacitive full color touch screen supports interaction with the interface menu. Everything that the user needs is right at their fingertips on the intuitive user interface that can be operated with minimal training. The one-button capture image allows users to capture images on-the-go with no need to navigate to the menu for image capturing. With the adjustable hand strap and neck strap, users can more easily carry the instrument around the jobsite. When performing inspections, users can tag their captured images with photo notes, asset identifiers, text notes, and follow-up actions. QR codes can be used to easily identify inspections and errors can be avoided with seamless integration using the Fluke Connect desktop and online reporting software.
